ABOUT ME

My career began at Moody’s Investors Service, where I had my first brush with investment analysis. Later, working in finance in New York, I was trusted with the responsibility of finding promising loan investment opportunities across a variety of industries. This experience was invaluable in shaping my approach to investing.

My academic journey took me to Duke University where I earned my MBA in 2012. This was a steppingstone to becoming a founding partner of Poverni Sheikh Group (povernisheikh.com), a firm specializing in real estate development and construction.

In 2015 I co-founded a commercial real estate bridge-lending platform (psglending.com) that has successfully deployed nearly $200 million in commercial real estate financing during the six years under my leadership.

As I grew the firm, at various stages I was responsible for operations, marketing, sales, and most importantly leadership of the team until my exit through a sale in late 2021.

Through my experiences as a developer, investor, and direct lender, I’ve grown to enjoy working with people to accomplish a set vision.
I live in Chevy Chase, MD with my wife Katherine and two kids, Ariana, and David.
